Once again, artist Frank Bolle wound up illustrating the story of "Joshua" twice-- using the SAME text. It's short enough that, for easy comparison, I'm going to run EACH episode back-to-back.
It's interesting comparing them this way, that in the 1980 version, Joshua is depicted as a warrior (very much in keeping with the whole "MACHO!!!" era of Ronald Reagan's 1st term as President), while in 1990, Joshua looks more like a Rabbi. Also, the August 1990 version of the fall of Jericho is much more tame-looking than the savage brutality depicted in the May 1980 episode.
