Gideon

(Continued from Deborah)

Slightly less obscure than the story of "Deborah" is the story of "Gideon".  Over the course of the entire STORIES FROM THE BIBLE series in BOYS' LIFE magazine, it was covered 4 times.  Like "Deborah", which it followed, the 1st time it was featured was in 1960, nearly 8 years after the series began.

I just thought I'd toss in that while reading this story, I was curious to see how, if in any way, it tied in with the 3rd-season STAR TREK episode, "The Mark Of Gideon".  Apparently, it's the part where, as he's about to attack the enemy, God tells Gideon he has "too many men".
