Jonah

(Continued from Elisha)

The story of "Jonah" is quite well known, although still a bit obscure compared to some.  It's been covered in the BOYS' LIFE series 5 times, starting with February 1963 (more than a decade in), but oddly enough, each time it's been right at the end of a set of stories, just before the series would start over with "The Creation".  And according to my online research, it actually fits in between "Elisha" and "Isaiah".  Well, that's where I'm presenting it here!

Once again, artist Frank Bolle did the story TWICE, so I'm presenting each pair of his episodes back-to-back for easy comparison. While the first 2 versions were only 1 episode each, Bolle did it in much-greater detail, over 5 episodes.

Note that the 5th episode, where Jonah gets angry because the city he was sent to save WAS saved, was skipped in 1994.  More "political correctness" nonsense???
